A friend and I have been playing around on freewebs this afternoon, trying to make a whippet racing site. early stages yet but please feel free to have a look and make any suggestions on how we can improve it. I've already found a couple of mistakes that need correcting but let me know if you find more, one thing I dont understand is why it isn't coming up when I do a google search for it. It seems I need to put the exact address in the address bar, a search wont find it.

we will be changing the colour and font, they look cold to me but for now we just wanted to get something up there.

Hi, sometimes it can take a while before you start showing up on a GOOGLE search. My own website took approx 6 months, now it comes up top of the list. My website host told me to get links to as many similar sites as possible and in your "meta data" use as many words that refer to what your site is about. ie whippet, racing, dog, dogs, running, sporting, kennels, puppy, track, yarra, valley, etc. The more hits you get will get you higher up the list too. Hope this helps.

Thanks for looking and the advice Wiggy. I've put a few key words in but not nearly as many as you've suggested. So far I haven't had the site come up on any searches. hopefully soon. :)
