Hi everyone,

Just wanted to say hi. I've just joined the site but have been looking on here for a few weeks just keeping an eye on things.

My partner and I gave a home to a lovely dog (Kipper) about 2 months ago from a very nice breeder in Tunbridge Wells and he has settled in really well, becoming a very devoted companion and happy hound. We have been able to take him to work and he gets to run about in the local fields every day. He's put big smiles on our faces and the only thing missing is a companion for him.

Our work commitments prevent us from investing the time and effort a puppy would need. Kipper was 1 yr old when we got him - so housetraining and some basic training had been done, and another adult bitch would suit us. They must be good in a car as we like to take our dog with us when we venture out and about. A good temperament is the most important thing (the vet is 4 doors away from us).

So if anyone knows of a good natured, friendly, young-ish adult dog or bitch then we might be able to offer a home. We're located just outside Tunbridge Wells and I can be reached on tim@tisystems.co.uk or PM.

Thanks !

Tim

Hi there and Welcome  Hope your find your perfect companion for you both and your dog Kipper  :luck:

Thanks everyone, we've had a few emails from people around the UK (the two in Gloucester sound beautiful and I'm gutted we can't have a 3 whippet household, 2 is our max). We want to focus on seeing if we can find a dog nearer to home first, so we can get a better idea of the dog's character and temperament in its home environment if at all possible, plus travelling time is a factor.

Pups arent really any good to us as we can't afford the disruption to our working lives, but anything over 1 yr old should be good. Jabs and housetraining essential - we think its only fair to give a home to a dog that we know we can cope with, and give long term security too, so we're being fairly specific. We want to be responsible dog owners so have done plenty research and don't want to stretch beyond our capabilities!

Kipper has settled in really well and needs a pal to make the picture complete.

I'm really grateful for all the messages and look forward to more.

Tim :)
