Newbie but have grown up with dogs and cats.

Now have my own place but work around 10hrs a day.

Miss having a little furry pal.

Would a smaller dog be ok for the working hours I do, or is there any that would suit my lifestyle?

Thanks

Hello and welcome to the forum, its a lovely friendly place for people who love dogs

Please don't be offended when I say this but if you work 10hours a day..how long are u away from home?.that is an awful long time for a dog to be alone. I'm pretty sure you would fail most home checks from rescues just because of the hours worked..but there may be ways around it..i work one very ling day a week and I have dog walkers come in for my dog.maybe with a regular dog walker or doggie daycare type things you could manage...

When getting a dog many people think its cool to leave a dog for hours, then come home from work.and give it ten mins round block and think job done, no way , dogs need companionship not boredom...
