Hello everyone, nice to find such a great and helpful forum.

We are really keen to find a blue or blue/fawn pup and were wondering where to start.

For a start, is this the right topic thread to ask such a question? Apologies if not.

We live in Hampshire and have had lots of dogs in childhood and one or two in adult life too! Not whippets though and having done a great deal of reading think that a gorgeous whippet would be just perfect for us.

Any help appreciated? For example, there are lots of lovely pics of puppies but we're not sure if any of you can bear to lose any of them :D

think you may have come to the right place here!!! some lovely litters aout at the min

good luck in your search :luck:

welcome to k9!!! :huggles:

Welcome to K9 and best of :luck: with finding your pup

There are several litters on the boards at the moment... you could PM a few of the members who has them.

Keep us posted

welcome aboard :D best thing i can say is to get some hands on experience with whippets. on paper, most people can think they have the right breed in mind (whatever that breed may be), but too often the reality is a little different. i'm not trying to put you off in any way, just to be absolutely certain, if you know what i mean. a potential buyer who takes the time to get things right is worth their weight in gold, as any decent breeder will tell you.

aside from that, good luck with your search, hope you find the right pup, and most importantly....don't forget to post pics

:D WELCOME :D

:luck: Good luck in your search for a pup :luck:

Good luck on your search... Welcome to the forum.... There are several litters listed currently also check out champdogs.co.uk There is a selection of breeders on there...(That's where we got in touch with Lizzyb and found our Chloe....)

Welcome to K9

Try and see mum with pups, also if they have other family members ,

There is more than one `puppy farmer `out there breeding whippets im afraid (w00t) , they just use them as breeding machines , I went to see some pups the other day and the `person ` had 6 + whippets JUST for breeding  NOT a K9 member I must add

They advertise them as family pets but they live in a kennel all their lives :(

They also charge the same amount as top breeders and some are a member of the Kennel Club Acreditors Breeders Scheme , which most good breeders that I know off wouldnt dream of joining , as any Tom Dick or Harry can be a member ( even if you dont have a bitch  )

So be very wary

sorry to sound so negative , we have hundreds of breeders of whippets who do a fantastic job of homing their pups , but forwarned is forarmed , ( or something like that ;) )

good luck in your search
