I have another Disc Dog Day planned for 30th July at

SCONCE HILLS PARK in Newark, Notts.

This will be slightly different than the last one, for starters it won't be for charity (can't expect the sponsors to supply that much food every month), and it's unlikely there will be any prizes unless we get any donations. However it will cost £5 to enter, this is so I'll have some money to replace fencing, posts, cones etc when they need replacing, it will aslo mean Disc Dogs UK will have some money for if we ever have to pay for avenue up front.

Although there's no prizes, £5 still isn't bad for a days entertainment is it?

I'm not going to say I'm doing this or I'm doing that, it depends how many turn up, but we should have time to run some training and have a couple of fun competitions.

BONUS - also while we're there we'll be meeting up with Patricia, who does this in Canada (she's over nine days and is stopping in Newark) and hopefully she'll be able to help us with a few things aswell.

We're hoping to get their about 9.15 so it will be 10 to 10.30 before we're ready to start.

You don't have to say that you are coming, we'll be there learning stuff off of Patricia anyway, so I hope to see a few old faces there and some NEW ONES.

At the moment it doesn't look like a lot of people can make this one as it seems to clash with a lot of things. As long as there's just more than me and OH I'll be happy :)

I will be doing one further north, possibly in August if you're interested?

I don't mind travelling to one in the North West, now that just depends how keen you are? I will only make the effort and travel to places a distance away, if other people make the effort and do the same.

I always say it's fair not to expect anyone to travell more than 2 hours ;)

What part of the north west you from?

Someone from near Manchester has shown an interest and someone from the Pendle area came to the first one!

If anyone wants to join my mailing list so they no where and when I'm holding Disc Dog Days drop me an email here: tercher@doglover.com

I will try and post details here when I get chance but sometimes posts move quickly and drop off the page before they get viewed.

If you are intersted in having one up north west then someone up there would have to find a suitable venue: FOC, or very cheap; reasonably flat grass area; tiolets as it will be an all day job; and good weather (no chance up north :D )

This is how to find Sconce Hill Park on the 30th July

_______________________________________________

A1----leave at A46 and follow signs fo Newark until you reach A617/B6326 roundabout then follow below

A617/B6326------Follow A46 signed Leicester, for about a mile until you reach the Fondon roundabout, turn left (1st exit, signed Newark)) and follow this road for about a mile until you reach the Spring House pub/inn (on your left). There's is a limited amount of parking if you turn right opposite the pub, alternatively for the main car park turn right after the pub, signed Newark Hospital/A&E, from here you'll see the sign for the car park.
