I havn't been able to get a vet in attendance at the EASTER CLASSIC and STRAIGHT CHAMPS, the problem being they are bank holiday weekend events but I have arranged for the nearest vets possible to be on call at both events including the Jodami open on the Monday of the champs weekend. both vets are within 10 mins away from the venues and will come out if needed

Might be an idea to set up a fund where each member puts in a nominal amount to help cover the costs of these emergencies which are thankfully rare but costly

if you us the same vets as the bwra would it be cheaper,ngrc will have a list of available vets as they attend the greyhound racing????????? :thumbsup:

Think this is a great idea. Yesterday proved how invaluable a vet services is in these thankfully rare but sad situations. We certainly wouldn't mind paying a nominal fee for the call out service if a vet cannot be in attendance.

I wish no one has to use their services when we are racing our dogs but a nominal sum to have a vet on call seems like a good idea.

could a bit be added to the race money like they do for the lure so its per dog. just an idea
