I have been told its near impossible to get solid coloured pups from any reputable breeders in Ireland. Do any of you guys know any different?

I don't think that's true. Many of the Collooney and Barnesmore whippets in Northern Ireland are brindle with just a bit of white marking and I've also seen some fawns from Collooney kennels. Blacks and blues are rare, but I've heard of a breeder in Waterford who mostly has fawns and blues from Laguna stock.

Do you live in Ireland?

I have 2 solid brindles from the Barnesmore kennels in Northern Ireland both have a small amount of white markings

I don't, but k9er Boyce may have the contact phone no or other details

I did see meet a whippet bitch from Waterford here in Derry some months ago but I don't know the owner

if you are interested in rescue dogs, see http://www.irishanimals.com/dublin_homes.html

Alice, fawn whippet cross (very whippet-like), to be rehomed with her little terrier companion Ted

Oisín (pronounced like Ush-een) looks small and whippety but is wire-haired

The same page shows a lovely brindle pup, Duke, who is very whippet or greyhound like - I don't know how large he is

http://www.irishanimals.com/waterford_homes.html advertises Pepper a brindle whippet cross. He doesn't look as much like a true whippet as Alice does
