I'm being asked what the weather is like up here.

Considering it is summer and not so long since we were all being scorched. we have had two weeks of glorious rain. (w00t) we were also told the weather was going to pick up and become dry and sunny again (w00t) who are they kidding!!!

The weather is wet with an odd bit of sunshine chucked in for good measure.

looks like the ground is going to be really good for running on so see you in september

I'm sorry we can't come up this year, but with my Mum and now Inca we just can't do it :( ......I hope you have a great day and glad its raining up there .....nothing nicer than a soft track to run on

The Northern ground is off M6 junction 27. Head toward Standish once in village turn left at Traffic lights on to A49. Travel approximately 2 miles. Alison Arms is on Right and Roberts Heating shop on Left. Turn left in front of Robert's Shop and the ground is 20 yards on the right .

Hope this helps everyone

Just to put a few things straight.

Yes our open is going ahead.

No the rugby club are not going to be churning up our track.

Our track is being assembled on the Saturday night so unless they are prepared to don colours and muzzles the rugby players are going no where near the track.

There are not 14 matches going on their are 2 matches that will be over before 12pm. These are important matches that have to be played and after a lot of talking from Barry and Dennis to peter the rugby chairman they have given us priority on the day because of so many of you come along way.

There will be space for camping.

There is Catering on the day.

The ground is looking absolutley fantastic not a sludge puddle.

The car park will be sectioned for both uses so the day will be a good one.

We hope this has clarified everything and will all the rumour mongers stop there knife stabbing and get down to what racing is about sportsmanship, friendship and a love of dogs. Especially as some knife stabbers aren't making the effort to come up and see us.

we will have a good day and we will have a good open

I hate it when people talk behind clubs or other peoples backs  ...........I think the Northern is one of the nicests tracks to run on ........I hope you all have a great day and i'll be there next year with all of my lot   Hannah and Chris.

Excellent news Sue. We will be with you next Sunday.

I was hoping to come along but I've got an open at Swallownest with Dobs on the same day. I just wanted to wish the Northern club an excellent days racing and the best of luck with your open. I'm sure anyone attending will have a great day within great company.

SCOTT FRODSHAM, TAKE SOME BLOOMIN' PIKS!!!!!

Barb, bring your camera just in case! :- "

Hi to all :p I haven't been back stabbin' and I won't be there for your open but it would seem that the venue is in pristine condition and would wish everyone a good days racing and well done to those who will be doing the organising. Awaiting the results

Another of ground the track is sweeping along the back and as you can see there is some grass to cushion the dogs feet.
