After opening the Whippet News i was disappointed to read the write up for our charity open on 30th Jan had been copied off K9 and not the one i posted to Cris. Placings for the yearling final was 1st Mad jack 2nd Senorita 3rd Jedward, the Supreme scratch winner was Love Lockdown, Raggie Black w/d. I would also like to thank Cris & Julie for making and donating the mini trap trophy for the supreme winner and the lovely framed mini jackets for yearling/vets/scr/ winners. All class winners received belated xmas stockins filled with doggy goodies donated by Les & myself, hope you enjoyed them. A novelty puppy & veteran show took place while the draw was being made, puppy winner was Amandas Vinnie Bisquit & Veteran winner was Kath & Dennis More or Less both received a bag of Beta dog food, thanks go to Amanda & Pete Slater for judging. Lastly a very big thank you to everyone who supported this very worthy cause . With the generosity of many racers donating their winnings back a total of £360 was presented to "Help For Heroes", with a further £30 donated by David from Highgate from the sale of dvd's which resulted in a grand total of £390 thank you all on behalf of NOTTS & DERBY

As I already explained to you both, I received the 'written' results after W News had already gone to the printer.

I am sorry for your disappointment, and can assure you both it won't happen again.

Full apologies to all concerned!!!!

The above statement will be printed in the April copy.........

NOTTS/DERBY XMAS CHARITY OPEN FOR THE TROOPS Highgate 30 Jan 2011

Huge thanks to Highgate for getting the track spot on today after a difficult week with the weather, well done lads. Thanks to Chris & Julie for making & donating all the trophies for the finals & Julie for keeping an eye on me in the judge’s box. Quite a good entry of 52 considering the set back dogs have had due to the weather. Not much difference between this, and what was printed in the Whippet News, can't see what all the fuss is all about.

Geoff

think the fuss is about taking the time to write out a report on the open posting it of to W-news only then get the W-news to see that whats printed is what been taken of K9 and not what you have sent in !! think the idea was that for us that are on k9 we would have something different and more indepth to read as the report sent to be printed was
