We've noticed over recent days that when my husband walks with Jacques and me, Jacques is much more confident, walks in a straight line, focuses ahead, and generally enjoys the experience. When I walk him alone, he has started jumping up at me and pulling to go home, weaving all over the place and constantly looking behind him.
We have started meeting other dogs more often, which is also something Jacques finds a strain from a distance. Yet close up he is fine. Licks their face and relaxes.
I am pretty sure he still feels he has to protect me when out together, whereas when the Alpha Male is with us, (!!) he can relax. :sweating:
Has anyone else had this experience? We've also reduced the Homeopet drops to 3-4 times per week instead of every day. Perhaps that has made a difference?
The reason Jacques pulls is, I'm sure, because he feels he has to protect and guard us. If only I could get through to him that I can do that!!
One more Jacques saga! :>
