Does anyone know if probiotics protect against the stomach-related side effects of NSAIDs, please? Jasper's limpy leg seems to benefit from the NSAID he's on, but after a few weeks on it his stomach is playing up a bit.

He's on a maintenance dose of YuDigest, but I'm wondering about 'upgrading' him to YuDigest Plus. I did try stopping the NSAID for a couple of days, but his limp got worse.

Update - according to my vet, no, probiotics won't help with NSAID-related stomach problems. But then again, she wouldn't expect NSAIDs to cause pale poos and horrendous wind  So, not being sure why Jasper is making such nasty niffs, I'm going to see if YuDigest Plus helps. It doesn't help that he's scared of his own farts if they're audible...
