Nice to see Mick Buckingham at Old Hall today, he used to be southern based but retired and went to live near Scunthorpe. He brought with him a couple of old dogs and one of these was a favourite of mine I used to love to see run, Classic Action.

He has not run this dog since it smashed its foot at Asfordby in July 2003.

Having gained a little weight since his running days Mick entered Classic Action and won the Vets at today’s meeting.

Well done to Old Hall great open well run and a good atmosphere. Well done to the winners. I was pleased to see some of Sams( Rch/ Nch Viv's Quest) pups racing at last well doneBill with Toddy Pilgrims Quest, To Dave and Shiela with the supreme pup Walk alone out of their sup rch/nch Home alone and Debby Longdons Bramble Quest and not forgetting of course merlin who is back into form after a 5 month lay off having had a toe off well done to all the winners and everyone taking part great meeting

How come Classic Action had two weights ????27lb in vets--------28lb in the 30lb class was it a missprint??? or for real??? as both reports on here state same.

Probably because of it's age. 6 yrs equals 1 yrd lift.

Steve, Classic Actions weights were adjusted in the Veteran class for his age, no age allowance in the main handicap.
