The time has come for change and its time to put all the bad things that has happened in the past to bed once and for all as none of us can alter what has already happened .The way forward is draw a line under the past and try our best to make sure that it does not happen again and all racers are treat fairly and equally not by kangaroo courts and barrack room layers but democraticly choosen committee members ideally from all areas/regions .Having said that what can we do to make things better? These are just a few i think might help,
Firstly a list of people who for want of a better word could be refered to as reserves who could put their names forward with the offer to be called upon giving a hand with all aspects of the racing format .And i will be first to offer my name as one of those.
Two way radio contact between traps and finish line.
Weigh in no one with bitches should weigh bitches in, and likewise no one with dogs should weigh dogs.
Scratch races should be underway whilst programes are being made out.
A printer taken to track to print programmes as John Meades did at Warwick IRG meeting .
Also maybe instead of complaining after races have finished a suggestion box could be offered for people to say what was wrong and how they think it could be improved for next meeting .
Surely we are clever enough to improve the sport between us.
Also rules must be adhered to at all meetings not just changed to suit some.
Sticking to the format on the card would help also and rules regarding re-runs --
Common Sense should play a bigger part . What are your views on these subjects
