I remember Frank well , when I satrted showing `Simon` Director of Dondelayo , he told me I was `flogging a dead horse` (w00t) but I was moore than happy with him and when ever we beat Frank ( and CH Capo de Monte :- " ) I say `im still flogging my dead horse Frank , and then we`d laugh about it / Neither of us were nasty about it , but I took great pleasure in beating him with Simon , Frank was one `canny ` exhibitor , :huggles: Certainly a character

Great to see these old photos ....... Ch Capo Di Monte is in my old girls pedigree and their heads look very similar :D ........Wouldn't it be great to have a thread of old photos/peds of dogs so we could patch together family trees :D

To be honest I have tried to put as many of the dogs photos we have that I think feature in many pedigrees (both Threads). I think a lot of these dogs would still win top awards in the ring today & some better than in yesteryear.

MORE, MORE, MORE Please

Never tire of seeing shots from the past. I'm only young in this breed, so it's fantastic to put names to faces (human and canine)

Just lovely. Thank you Mark!!

After Mr Moore passed several of his dogs ended up in Sweden. If not my memory fails me (known to happen  ) One of them being the (whippet) bitch he won CC with at Crufts (first picture). She certainly left her mark on the breed here!

Her grandsire and mother - Ch Capo Di Monte and his sister Ch Queen Of The May At Marash both of them ended up here (Capo gained his Swedish title) too.

I used Capo for my first litter :)

Hi!

The bitch Frank Moore showed that won the CC at Cruft's in 1989 was Ch Marash Melody of Bayard. I remember she was so nice and I was happy to see her win the CC. The year after my friend Anna-Lena Bäckvall was able to bring "Mellie" to Sweden and she came in whelp to Ch Carmodian Tawny Knight of Hutaka.

Here is a photo I took on the occasion!
