I've been researching old photos of the original bull terriers bread by James Hinks, they are much slimer looking than there modern day counter parts with much less prounced egg shaped heads. Even in the ninteen thirtys they seem to look more athletic than these days.
I've seen an article in the Countryman news paper (which led me to this site) entitled fitter not fatter bull terriers. These so called 'old-tyme' bulls look great, just like the originals and have obviousley been bread with whippets at some piont. Has anyone got any more info on these dogs?, are they just 50/50 cross breeds,? are they common in the lurcher communitys?
I am awear anything with Olde Tyme at the frount of its breed name means its not a formal breed in the Kenal Club sense, but im not bothered about this. Ive been thinking about getting a bull whippet x when I move back to the country hopfully at the end of this year, but these olde tyme bulls have really caught my eye, Can anyone help?
