For those of you that have SKY SPORTS, you may be interested to know that there is a short feature about me on this weeks IRISH GREYHOUND PROGRAMME that is screened at various time on Wednesdays and Thursdays. They spent over 4 hours filming everything for a 6 minute slot. Hope it turns out well ! !

WEELLL I'LL SAY

Martin you should be a very proud man as what i have just seen on Sky Sports small clip is WONDERFULL.AND I AM SURE IT HAS TAKEN MANY YEARS OF UPS AND DOWNS AS WELL AS SOME VERY HARD WORK TO GET WHERE YOU ARE.

I and my family live in Scotland and we sometimes go to small local Greyhound tracks nothing as big as what you are used to and we have just got into Whippet racing this year and i must say it is addictive to say the least could you please let me know some of the names of your dogs as we (my 2 sons, husband and myself) always watch the Irish Greyhound racing on sky so we could look out to see how your dogs are doing.

All the best for the future from The THOMSON family from Hamilton in Scotland....

Thanks for the kind words. It certainly has taken many years of ups and downs and I can assure you there are more downs than ups ! It has taken 3 years and 270,000 Euros to set that new rearing farm up and running, but thankfully the response has been excellent and we have around 85 pup/saplings in for rearing and schooling. The phone has been pretty busy since the programme was aired and comments like yours give me a great deal of satisfaction.

Regarding race dogs, we do very little racing as we are concentrating on the pups, but the cameras never seem to be there when we win a stake ! ! NANDROLONE having won a stake in Longford a month ago and I SAID BOO a stake in Galway a few weeks before. I have a dog called MOUNTCASHEL TED a very fast dog that has been dogged with problems, but if he can be got right, might land another competiton for us before the year is out. You cannot believe how difficult it is to win even the most modest of stakes in Ireland, let alone compete in the major ones !

Regards.

Hi Martin,

I didn't get to see it I'm afraid :(

A few people have contacted me to say they couldn`t find the `plug in` to download. It is on this page,

http://www.greyhound-data.com/

scroll down, on the right of the page you will see where to download the plug in. when you have downloaded go to top of page to `libary`, scroll down to video greyhound view, click on that, it is 51B, RIGHT click and OPEN. That should open it okay for those of you on broadband.
