Deary me, had a desperate phone call last night from a lady i know who heard about a 10 mth old Lurcher who was not wanted and was gonna be left on her own while her 'owners' went on a weeks holiday!!!!!  Makes my blood boil, anyway turned out this couple had had Skippy since October, she was bought as a pressie from the fella but his girlfriend works full time and Skippy had started to wreck the house. So they started leaving her in the garden but she was howling and annoying the neighbours so they wanted rid-a day before their holiday!!!!!  So i picked her up this am.

She is a peculiar looking dog in my opinion but still gorgeous and what a friendly well behaved girl, she seems to have been well trained. She adores people and kids but is so scared of other dogs-even my lot!!!!! It was so funny she took one look at Gucci and freaked out!!!!!! She must have thought "what the 'ell is that hurtling towards me at 100mph"!!!!!!!  She is better now though as she has just played with Gucci for a bit

I was told she was a WhippetXGreyhound but i was shocked when i saw her, think they are having me on!!!!

I Know as lady who might be interested we're going for a walk tomorrow so hopefully she will be interested in taking her on, as 5 is so too many in this tiny house!!!!!    Here's several photos anyway

I think she is stunning! Pretty sure there must be some saluki in the mix. Her colouring is rather unusual - very attractive, liver nose and all.

I hope she finds a good home. :luck: :luck: :luck:

BTW - why two collars? Is it a fashion statement, or is she some kind of canine Houdini? :D

Mmmmmmmmhmmm a bit of Saluki methinks ... she's just scrummy, don't you just hate humans sometimes?

Hope things work out for her :huggles:

Ooh! I must be getting the hang of this dog-lark as I was going to say Saluki too - very pleased with self when I read your posts

She is a wonderful colour. I met a dog the other day just that burnt-gold colour. He was a Spanish wild dog who had been abandoned and a family took him on and brought him here to be their pet. He's very biddable... but will he get his nose out of Josie's behind????!"£$%^!!!! I think not! Rude young man, lol.

This girl puts me in mind of him, although she's obviously a lot bigger (he's whippet sized).

Well done for taking her on at such short notice

(w00t) (w00t) She came in the red collar but i wanted her in a more secure collar, so i put on Lulu's which had a name tag with my number on-as she looked the sort to bounce over my 5 foot fence in one tigger leap but thankfully she hasn't!!!

Hey ILKC

Manchester isn't that far from Scotland is it?!!!! LOL

She looks very unusual, that first pic is lovely such a pretty face

Little up date with some good news, Zippy (not Skippy don't know where i got that from!!???  )has been adopted by my mum and dad   Took her round and boy did she play a blinder, completely soppy and cuddly on their sofa, sat like a statue for a sausage and generally made quite sure they could not refuse!!! They are so besotted with her already  Thankfully she is fine with their cat so far :- "

Only concern is they both work 2 days a week (same days tues and thurs) as both are semi retired as she was destructive when left at her previous home (but that was 7am til 5pm 5 days a week, so who can blame the poor thing) but my mum always comes home for her dinner as she only works 5 mins from her home. Fingers crossed she won't wreck their house, but i've said i'll pop round and check on her if need be on those days. Other than that they hardly ever go out and have 4 plots on the local allotment so all their spare time Zippy will be chilling out on the plots 8) 8) 8) i will take some pics of her when she's settled down to show you

So i'm back to my little family of 4 woofs what a relief :sweating: :sweating: :sweating:

What luck! Now you still get to see lovely Zippy, even if you don't have room for her yourself. So happy for all of you. Hope she settles in well with your parents.

Can't help imagining what a pretty picture she would make with oliverpliers' Arthur
