My sister Marlene had an operation last Thursday to fix a kink in her bowel.She had a pain while at their cottage for Thanksgiving,came home on the Monday,was stuil bothering her so she went to the hospital her in Bowmanville.She said if there was to be an operation ,she wanted it down at St.Michael's Hospital in Toronto where she had it down before and her doctor there who did it knows all bout it.The hospital here called him,he had to find a room,ended up phoning back on Wednesday of last week,no room so the operation was done here last Thursday at 4:00.It took 3 and a half hours,it went well,just had to straightened the bowel out and they put mesh around one of her hernias.She was there a week and is home now.Taffy their dog stayed here during the day and went home at night with Larry.She is here with us today,Marlene needs some more rest.Mom went every day to see her,sometimes twice.I would take her up and bring her back,I went with Mom last Sunday after church,there had to be someone here to watch Taffy and Fritz.
