Sorry for the delay in posting this.
As you will see, we had a meeting of our club members on 6th May - at which we decided that we would all observe a 2week self imposed restriction on our dogs, if they had come into contact with other dogs, from our own kennels or any other racing dogs from other clubs - that might have been in contact with infected dogs. Consequently all but 4 dogs were with drawn on the 6th May and we only had 4 dogs which met this criteria on 13th May - hence the reason for no racing on the 13th.
This week end will be the third week of this arrangement (2weeks clear) - so I will check with Anne on 19th - to see how many entries we have.
We are still asking any potential entrants to observe a 2 week clear rule (i.e. from having run any of their dogs at another club) until further notice. We will review this ruling on a weekly basis.
We understand that the infection may also be coming from out side the racing circles, but believe we should still show some restraint at this time to reduce the likely hood of transfering infections. We have a number of young dogs and we don't particuarly want to take unnecessary risks with them.
