We had our new little bundle of joy last night. She is an 8 week old Parson Jack Russell. Our problem is that our other dog, a 6 year old Labradoodle, completely ignores her or runs away. We have tried to put them together by holding them both close but the Labradoodle started growling. The Labradoodle is such a soft natured dog so I don't understand why she is behaving in this way. We had a Labradore up until 3 weeks ago when we sadly had to put her to sleep. The Labradore was always aggressive towards the Labradoodle and I'm really worried that the Labradoodle will think that this was normal behaviour and behave in the same way.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

That would just be what I would expect . You have to give your older dog time to get used to the new puppy . Do not try to force things and always allow your older dog to be able to get away from the pup .
