Provost Vets have a case of a puppy in St Andrews with parvovirus, they are speaking with their vaccine company as they believe the vaccine isn't giving the protection it should in young dogs. My interpretation of this is therefore that this dog had been vaccinated. If anyone is likely to be in this area, they recommend avoiding the Lade Braes area with young dogs even if vaccinated.

If the puppy has been vaccinated for parvovirus could this be a case of a puppy being vaccinated too young while it still carries antibodies from its mother?

Let's hope the poor thing recovers!
