Hi all,

Paula's search for a new best friend is over!

For her birthday (hallowe'en) I have got her a little whippet x boy.

He was advertised as a whippet and found in Navan and in the dog pound. So we went up today to meet him.

He is obviously a whippet x'ed with something but he is around 6-8 months old, about 3 inches smaller than Paula and red brindle. He is so cute! His face is the same shape as a fox.

I really wanted a pure bred whippet but, of course, when I saw him in that horrid kennel he

had to come home with us.

He travelled like a lamb in the car home (2 hours) and is currently charging around the garden with Paula.

I think it will be a long night...

I will put some pictures up tomorrow when I get my camera back from my son.

How exciting for you, and Paula of course. :) :) Hope the new addition settles in well with Paula.  Has he got a name yet?

When we saw him on the website he was called 'Joe' but I have renamed him Marco.

There has not been a moments peace since we got home!!

Still, they will be tired tonight - I hope!

How lovely :)

Can't wait to see the pictures!!

He sounds very sweet, he must think he's in heaven with you after being in the pound

Can't wait to see some pictures!

Oh I've had a sneak preview of him  he is on the dog pound site as a success story - he has the sweetest little face, no wonder you couldn't resist. Look forward to seeing some photos of him with his new family - good on you!
