Hi all,

Marco is settling in well but he is still a little wary of me.

I took him to my sons this morning and weighed him - he is just 19lbs.

Looking at him I think he may have a whippet parent and maybe some sort of terrier parent.

But, who cares, he is safe with us now.

Sorry for the picture quality - camera not too clever.

Marco looks really lovely - gorgeous colouring.   Paula looks happy to have a friend.

Marco looks like he's going to be a right little character...good luck with the lad!

A couple more photos.

Paula is a bit put out at having to spend a lot of time in the kitchen, but Marc has never been housetrained! Oh joy!

Do you think my grass should have been cut? Paula does her best to eat it to save me cutting it - she loves a bit of salad!

Those are definately terrier ears!

Marco is beautiful and I have a soft spot for him already  . I have a whippet X (and we are pretty sure the other bit is terrier), Tilly. aged 4 years and she is just wonderful. Apart from her recall being a bit suspect a lot of the time  , she has never put a paw wrong from the moment she walked into our lives three years ago. Her ears are like Marcos but if they're not pricked or shes running full pelt, they fold back just like a whippets. If I could clone her, I would!

Thank you all for your kind words.

I've just booked Marco in to have his 'bits' removed on Monday.

He is like a teenage boy with two pints in him and he LOVES Paula a little too much - according to her. The thing is, Paula will not tell him off with any authority so he is having a great time behaving like a hooligan. He will calm down a bit after he has been neutered - hopefully.

Poor lad, he's been wormed, de-flead and bathed and he has even had to suffer the indignity of walking on a lead - for the first time I think!

So, at the moment, I'm the devil incarnate!

No wonder he won't come to me with confidence.

He did have a bit of the runs when he was in the pound - the evidence was there for all to see. :b

But he seems to be clearing up now - thankfully.

Oh, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY Paula - 1 today!

Karen
