My 14 month old pup has a problem, in the last few months her pelvis has popped out 3 times now......I think she doe's it trapping at racing (i have laid her up now for how ever long it takes) but was wondering how i can strengthen up her pelvis ?? She has always free run with out any problems and has even done 2 lots of lure coursing with all of that twisting and turning with out any problems, which is why i think it's her pushing off leg in the traps :( .......Any help/advice will be very much appreciated :)) ........Thanks in advance (hopefully) Hannah

Is it her pelvis or her hips...has she had a season?

i have a little bitch who has put her right hip out twice last year she only had 4 runs, we have had the hip put back in and injected with steroid and she has been off for 4 months ..we have been racing her for two months and all seems fine ..fingers crossed

It's definatly her pelvis. The physio has put it back in but there's so much muscle spasam/tension in her back at the moment that Paula said she'll have to go over her in about a week or so's time again :( ........Miya has had a season befor all of these problems ..........am i thick or what ?? she did soften up alot after her season .........still i'll have to find away to strengthen up her pelvis ......any idea's ??....... :luck: with your bitch ......fingers well crossed, thanks Hannah

You'll have to teach her pelvis floor exercises lol

Maybe you should take her to see a good vet ..there might be some type of steroid/hormone treatment available

She's been to our vets and's on Rymadil at the moment to try and reduce the inflamation .........I thought about swimming her to strengthen her pelvis (she'll love it ........not) (w00t) .........but it's worth a go .........And i'll have a word with my vet ;) Thanks for your help....... Hannah
