does anybody know if web sites such as pets 4 homes are regulated in any way? I have just seen an advert for a whippet bitch 'in season' advertised for sale. the advert also says she must go due to ill health doesnt say whether it is the dog who is ill or the owner? i have reported it saying I feel this poor bitch is being advertised with the intent of somebody buying her to breed from surely this cant be allowed. :( i get a really bad feeling about this ad :(

Unfortunately there is pretty much no regulation covering this sort of ad, dogs get sold in season, in whelp and as 'proven breeding pairs'.

Poor girl, if her owner was genuinely needing to rehome her for health reasons they could at least have waited until her season was over - they are obviously hoping for extra cash by selling her as a breeding machine :(

The advert states they are selling a dog as well, wonder if he has been neutered? Poor dogs, unfortunately there are all too many just like them advertised almost every week. I just hope they find their way to people who care about them.

Just had another look at the web site both dogs still there, even though I sent a message, reporting the, 'in season' bitch to be removed I can't believe the RSPCA are doing nothing OMG I am sp glad I don't donate to them! We can only hope these poor dogs don't fall into the wrong hands :luck: :luck:

Sadly there is nothing that the RSPCA could do unless neglect or cruelty could be proven. Unfortunately there is no law against advertising a bitch in season and these free advertising sites have created another outlet for some of the less caring animal owners amongst the population.

Just as there are always going to be trolls on forums.....
