Hi all,

Does anyone have any good photos of a bitch and puppies or some cute puppy pictures

that I can use for my new book.

I'm looking for a bitch with tiny babies for the cover and some cuties for inside the book.

I will, of course, mention the photographer and the dogs in the book.

Any help would be much appreciated.

There are always great photos on here so this is te first palce I thought of to ask!

If you have anything could you send details to

karenjconnell@gmail.com

Thank you.

Karen

I'm very lucky to have been offered some beautiful (and cute) photographs.

Thank you very much to those who have taken the time to send me their pics.

More would still be welcome.

Thank you very much.

Hi,

Tina has offered me a beautiful photograph for the front cover of my book.

When we have finally decided on the design I will post a photo of the cover.

I am still looking for more cute photos though - doesn't necessarily have to be whippets.

Thank you

Karen

Have a look at albums of my litters; they all start with newborn pups and go until they left home

if you like any I can email you copy in suitable size

Link for my albums here> http://wildwhippies.myphotoalbum.com/albums.php be warned there's a LOT of photos!!

It would be nice to know what your book is about as I have other possibly useful photos that I've gathered over time besides puppy piks e.g. racing, training for racing, injuries (including x-ray images), allergic reactions, health care (nail trimming / massage / swimming etc). I've also got a menagerie of whippets varying in ages from 12 week old pups to 14 year old geriatrics and a bully whippet so if there's anything in particular you want, send us a pm or email me at wildwhippies@hotmail.com

Oh Wow!

Thank you all so much - I've a lot to look at now!

The only problem now is that I have so many wonderful pictures to

choose from.

I am so grateful to you all - thank you again.

This book is called 'The Layman's Guide to Whelping Puppies - From Conception to Sale'

I got the idea because I have had so many first timers ask me if there is a good book

that doesn't read like a veterinary manual - I couldn't find one, so I wrote one!

I don't presume to know everything - far from it, but I have whelped down a lot of racing bitches for

their owners as well as quite a few litters of my own (Labradors, Weimaraners and Rhodesian Ridgeback when I was in England)

and have seen and dealt with a lot of different things that have arisen.

Karen

p.s. Macha, Marco is so sweet but still very shy of anyone other than me.

He and Paula have a great time but Paula does keep him in his place...

Now I have two 'cling-ons' that go everywhere with me - no dog free time at all!

They are a very common sight around Irelands dog tracks now. Everyone loves them and wants to chat to them.

Sorry but I wouldn't wish to be associated with a breeding guide advising novices on rearing pups for selling.

No offence intended.

Hey, no problem - I completely understand.

My thinking behind this is, there are new people venturing into the world of racing, showing, agility etc. who want to carry on their bloodlines and are going to breed from their dogs anyway - and who am I to say that they shouldn't, I did (years ago now)!

I would rather that there was some practical information available that could help to keep a bitch and her puppies safe rather than they just go blindly into it.

The first few pages of the book are used to point out the reasons not to breed.

Thank you anyway - you have some lovely photographs.

Regards

Karen
