Hi,

Has anyone been to Pickering Before?? Is there camping?

Whats the showing/racing like?

I went to Bronte gathering last year and didnt make much of it :( (too many steam engines!!)

Thanks

Kim :D

I went to last years and it was the usual range of stalls but not as many as the bigger game fairs.

Don't know about the racing but the showing wasn't that great, not very organised.

01751473780 - this is the telephone number for the booking and information office for pickering game fair, i have been on the phone today asking for a booking form for camping which is £30 for the whole weekend including some ticket fees (not sure of the exact details until the form arrives)....hopr this is of some use to you

looking forward to a good weekend of dogs and  .... :- "

some more information on the pickering game fair.....

£30 payable by cheque - postal order or credit/debit card in advance will get you on site camping from midday friday to midday monday and all your game fair entrance fees are included for both saturday and sunday..( not your show fees)

applications are requestable from the number in the above post, it has been better advertised this year and improvements from last year are supposed to be in place, so i'm told  see you all there
