These are pictures I took from our 45th annual Santa Claus Parade last Saturday.I was at the first one in 1962 when I was was 2 years old and it was cold,windy and snowy that day according to mom.We had just moved to the south end of Bowmanville tha same month.Last Saturday was cloudy and cool ,no rain,would have been better yesterday,it was sunny and 50 degrees fahrenheit about 10 celsius.The first picture is Sparky,the fire dog,the next one is a float I think it is called"Friends Helping Friends".The next three are animals from the Bowmanville Zoo.The first one is an Elephant in a Santa hat and coat,the next is two camels,a horse and a Zebra,the third is three reindeer and a miniature horse.The 6th picture is a float from our church,Trinity United.It is called "Project Away in A Manger"The everend Reverernd Joe Lafave is the man in robes on the right.the church also raised money to send cows,pigs,chickens and other farm animals over to a village in Africa which i thought was nice.The next 2 are dogs,one is a big White Poodle,kind of hard to see with the lady who was in front of me.The next one is a Bichon on the other side of the street and the last one is Santa Claus waving to the kids.Hope you all like them as i had a lot of fun taking them.
