now that my cleo has reached 18 months and is starting her third season i am planning to let her breed with my black dog archie. the litter will be a one off, hopefully to fulfill cleo and to produce a nice litter of pups, one pup will be made a gift to a close friend and another to my dad. anyone got any advice on finding caring, permanent homes for any other pups she may produce. heres my little girl and her other half.

I'd personally wait till Cleo was at least 2 befor breeding from her ......but .......If I was you get in touch with the Whippet Club  ........If your a member they'll pass on people wanting a pup .....If you arn't a member they'll consider/help out the responsible sounding breeder  ........You sound like you have the correct idea/reason for breeding a litter  .......If only more people were like you ........ :luck: :luck: :luck: Cleo and Archie .....i'll put people your way

Thats right , the Whippet club states that you may only breed after 2 years of age , at 18. months she still in a teenage years

Id wait , shes plenty of time for puppies . :huggles: good luck when you do :luck: should be interesting colours

Certainly would not breed before 2 year old. This also gives time for any health problems to rear their heads. Still a growing girl really.

cheers for the info. think i will wait untill she is 2 years old.
