My pm got through to you just now Scott. Didn't earlier I thought that you'd had a clean up.
 
the problem appears that the percentage shown is X2 of the actual number of messages I have! :( I've blitzed all that I think ready for the trash but no resolution to the problem!

Don't forget that all messages go towards your total message count - that includes those in you Inbox, Sent messages etc.
