Hello, new poster here

I have a 3yro Pomchi. She’s my lovely friend and a beautiful pooch. Any thoughts about her singing, howling I suppose. When you make a high pitch humming she joins in and gets very excited. Of course the granddaughters love to make her sing. Just wondered why she does this and is it unkind at all.

If she is getting excited, it sounds like she is happy, enjoying it. If that’s the case, then no, I don’t think it’s unkind. However if she was looking stressed or uncomfortable and doing it in distress, that would be a different matter entirely.

My dogs and I used to have communal singing. I thought it was rather nice.

Hemlock that’s very sweet.
I just wanted to make sure it wasn’t stressing her out and her singing seems ok.

Here’s my singing Kiara ❤️

She's very cute :)

When I was a child we had a rough collie who would howl whenever she heard a siren going past. That was the only time she did it, the ancestral bit of her brain must have thought there was a pack of wolves passing through!

We have a girl who is teaching me to "Howl" we have quiet long conversations as she bounces up and down with her replies! She is 10 years now and just started doing this.

I forgot to ask,, what crossbreed is a "Pomchi" !

Then why don't people say what cross they are ?!!!!!!!!!!!

Lol I also get lost in the cross names shitza-oodle-dashi-doodle-labra-whasit

But for the op the singing in our house is triggered by unanswered phones, the monthly flood siren, emergency vehicles, although lately George ( beagle) has started doing it if I leave the house.
