Hello, it's been quite a while since I was last on here!

Unfortuantly my 11 year old Milo is not doing too well, he didn't eat any food on thursday and when we got up on Friday you could tell something wasn't right. He wouldn't get up and when he did he was staggering and panting. Took him to the vet where he had a very high fever and he was given two injections, one to bring it down and antibiotics and I also had tablets to take home.

All over the weekend he wouldn't eat and you had to pick him up and take him outside to pee, so on monday we've taken him back, he still has a fever and it was a degree higher then on friday, and now he has a noisey chest and laboured breathering ontop of the refusing to eat (managed to get water in him) and the staggering walk. He was given another injection to try bring the fever down, and another of antibiotics, and I have to give him some different tablets with the original tablets that he got on friday.

If he still hasn't eaten or shown intrest in food on wednesday I have to take him back in, if he seems to be perking up then they want to check him out on friday to cover for over weekend.

He still seems no better this morning and I've tried enticing him with all sorts of food! It's so hard he gone from being a bubbley, happy boy to looking like a very old man in days

Poor boy- hope he is feeling better soon- fingers and paws crossed for a speedy recovery :luck:

What a shame Milo is so under the weather and how worrying for you. Do hope all the medication begins to work soon and he starts to improve. Well done for keeping his fluid levels up, - important especially as it's been so hot (you could always try a little honey dissolved in warm water and left to cool if he doesn't want to take just the water). Remember you can phone the vet for advice in between visits if you are anxious about him. I'm sure you're doing all you can. Let us know how he gets on. :luck:

Well, luckily he has had a little food this morning and he is moving around a lot more and lifting his head up and waggong his tail. I'm so happy! Still recovering but he's on the way up!

Glad to hear that Milo sounds on the mend :luck:

Hope that Milo continues to improve. Thanks for letting us know he's feeling better.
