I got my 40th Birthday precent a wee bit late :- " :- " , but boy it was worth the wait

John and the kids got a portrait of Robbie done for me

Not got it up on the wall yet :- " , but it's beautiful

That is lovely, Susan. Gorgeous head Robbie's got! You must be so thrilled. Who was the artist, was it someone who knew Robbie or did they do it from a photo?

The artist is local, her name is Heather Macneish she did it from 3 photo's, one of which was Ricky as she got the back ground from his photo

The artist is wanting to meet myself and Robbie (w00t) as she loved drawing him and it took 60 hours to do

I never knew what John was getting me :wacko: , but got to admit I hoped it was a portrait of my boy

It is a fantastic potrait but what the photo on here does not show is the attention to detail it is amazing to see you can see the amount of work the artist has put into the potrait when you see it for real. The look on Susan's face when she removed the wrapping was a sight too see and for me the potrait and the look on Susan's face were well worth the wait.

The artist also has a web site www.heathermacneish.com although just like the photograph of the potrait on here her web site does not do her work justace as you can only see the attention to detail when you see the potrait for real.
