THIS MORNING I RECIEVED A POSTAL VOTE TO BAN YVONNE AND TONY FROM RUNNING AT ASHFORDBY , ACCORDING TO THE LETTER THIS WAS REQUESTED BY THE MEMBERS OF ASHORDBY CLUB, I FOR ONE WAS NEVER ASKED ABOUT THIS AND CAME AS A BIG SUPRISE WHEN I RECIEVED IT THIS MORNING IN THE POST.

HAS ANYONE ELSE HEARD ABOUT IT.

WE RAN AT ASFORDBY OPEN ON THE MONDAY AFTER THE LORD BYRON, THE LETTER SENT TO MEMBERS OF ASFORDBY READS (DUE TO RECENT EVENTS EACH PAID UP MEMBER OF THE CLUB HAS BEEN SENT A POSTAL VOTE AS REQUESTED BY THE MEMBERS. PLEASE FILL IN THE FORM BELOW AND RETURN IT BY 17 5 04 TO THE ABOVE ADDRESS; THANKYOU FOR CO-OPERATION ON THIS MATTER.)

THINK THE FOLLOWING PEOPLE SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO RACE AT CLUB MEETING OR OPENS, AT ANY FUTURE EVENT HELD AT ASFORDBY.

MEMBERS HAVE BEEN ON THE PHONE TO STEVE AND PAULINE, AND ASK WHAT RECENT EVENTS, AND WHAT MEMBERS ASK FOR THIS, KNOW ANSWER HAS BEEN GIVEN, NOW I AM ASKING WHAT RECENT EVENTS, AND WHY AS PAUL AND ALISON'S NAMES BEEN PUT ON THIS, WE RAN OUR DOGS AT ASFORDBY SO THE EVENTS MUST HAVE HAPPENED AFTER THAT OPEN, OR IS THIS JUST VICTIMIZION, AND PEOPLE ARE SAYING THAT WE ARE BRINGING THIS SPORT INTO DISREPUTE :wacko:

Maybe members are sick of waiting for there money to be returned as stated by the 4 named committee members at the time they folded it.

STATEMENT:

TO APPLY RULE 10 OF THE N.W.R.F.GENERAL RULES.(IN THE EVENT OF THE FEDERATION CEASING TO OPERATE ALL MONEY HELD BY THE FEDERATION SHALL BE RE-DISTRIBUTED AMONGST CURRENT MEMBERS).

N.W.R.F.CEASED TO OPERATE 16/1/04.

And then seen this statement in mays whippet news

AS FOR THE REST OF THE MONEY LEFT IN THE NWRF ACCOUNT, THAT IS WHERE IT WILL STAY FOR THE TIME BEING..

Or maybe members dont like the bad atmosphere when the said 4 are present at a club and opens

Just received letter from BWRA National Secretary John Fitzpatrick stating a petition from 50 members has been received to ban Tony & Yvonne from racing at any BWRA events. A meeting has been called for on the 30th May at 11 o clock . Two members from each region have to put there names forward for this meeting.

The reasons given are as follows

1 For non payment of Drug Testing

2 Bringing the sport into disrepute on the internet

3 Not accepting the result of Hellbounds drug test

4 The way they have belittled the top table.

Come on how much further is this going to carry on Drug Payments have nothing to do with the BWRA

Internet has anybody read the internet lately a lot has been said by many people which could be said was bringing the sport into disrepute

Hellbounds drug test. was dealt with at the meeting at Asforby last year and they got a warning this should now be forgotten

As for belittling the top table i can not comment on. But if it was at the meeting at Asfordby I was there and Tony & Yvonne just stated there case

I have seen the two of them at about 4 opens and they have conducted themselves with great dignity. Not staying for presentations ( I was asked to collect there winnings on there behalf as they were staying at Tonys mums.

Leaving so no conflict could be injuced by alcohol.

Im not saying things could be better if the fed gear was handed over but everthing is now over running into the BWRA Paul resigning what next Is it worth paying any subs are we going to have something to race for I wonder

Any money own out to businesses must look bad on all none ped whippet people , now that the sum of £100 for a vet to take tests each day has been brought in by Dr Griffin , maybe the bwra wanted to go back to HFL and can not because of the outstanding amount owed by the old nwrf.

As for belittling the top table ..I would say they did a good job when they sent all nwrf members letters , in which they pulled Mr John Fitzpatrick & Mrs Murial Musset down ...lets hope this belittling has nothing to do with Paul Jennings resigning , i would like to bet it does.

Yeah they have conducted themselves with great dignity, like threating Mr J Meads at ashfordby the other week , i think the atmosphere is terrible at meetings when they are present.

your a fine one :clown: wasn't gonna get into this but you best keep comments like calling my wife a liar to yourselves, we didn't know about this until itcame on the net .....but the way your going on who can blame the members ect for your information Mr Courtney wanted to know why you were at the derby and i told him to lett it go , maybe if you were more cooperative with fed gear and money ect you may have got more sympathy, and it may not of come to this ,it could of been sorted by now and been left behind ,your the one who keeps bringing it back up such as calling the testing lab bogus ,it was good enough for you until it was your test that came back positive, why not go to a meeting and try to resolve the problem .....

OK i'm going to poke my nose in probably were it's not wanted but here goes and i'll take the slating that will probably follow.

Being a ped racer it doesn't involve me so I probably have no right to comment but i've followed these threads for some time (on the net & Whippet news) and to me there just seems to be more & more bad feeling building up.

surely there must be a way that everyone can come out of this with their dignity intact and without anyone loosing face.

is there no way you could bring in an outside person who in no way involved in non ped racing if need be to act as a mediator and everyone get round a table and sort it out in an adult way (without throwing things) surely that way you could all move forward and continue to enjoy the sport you all so obviously love with a passion.

just my thoughts as an indipendant observer.

just one more thing i dont care were or when you run your dogs, it dosnt bother me one way or another ,why dont you give gear ect to new NWRf committee and try to sort it out before its to late......but please keep comments like you have just wrote to yourselves

good idea in theory mark but dont see how it will work, as whoever did the job needs to know the history on the matter, nice to see someone come up with a good suggestion though

Rowland, you deserve all you get. You have done more harm to whippet racing in the last few years than anybody ever has. You have continually stirred things up& brought whippet racing into disripute. You have continually had a go at people on the top table [bWRA] You have got more GOOD PEOPLE banned than anybody i know, through your silly 0% tolerance.[common sense tells me that this just isnt workable] you proved this when [the best heavyweight in the country] [LOL] failed a drug test. [if youd practiced what you preached you wouldnt be in this mess now]

Surely the fed members had a right to see the books if not, you must have a lot to hide, & finally what gives you the right to say all the equipment belongs to you,[did you pay for it]
