A friend of mine has a 12 month old German Sheppard who is not very well at all.

It started when her first season started.

She became very tired and breathless and still is.

I don't know if her season has actually finished or not...as she is still bleeding but its more of a mucus, her whole back end is still very red and swollen (babboon bum gone OTT) and she is passing blood when she poo's and her bum is also red and swollen.

She is in alot of pain/discomfort all around her hips/pelvic area and has even bitten my mates hubbie when he was helping her into the car and she's really not like that.

She is from that Police scheme, where puppies go to "normal"homes and the Police pay for vets and kennels etc and when the dogs are old enough they are bred from and the pups are then used to be Police dogs (if they up to scratch that is).

They had her to the vet a few weeks ago and he said there is nothing wrong with her but she is gradually getting worse and in more pain.

Now I don't know if its a Police vet they have to take her to or not (they have to be carefull what they say) the Police have said she now need to be speyed and she will have a full exam at the same time.

Does anyone know what it could be from my description????????

sounds like a pyro in the womb to me,if it is she would need antibiotics asap as it can be life threatening.

Get her to the VETS as soon as possible !!!!!! :))

I'll tell them, I'm seeing them later...thanks
