Hello

Does anyone give their dog prebiotics? And if so what ones?

My dog has itchy paws/skin and a lot of the prebiotics claim to cure this.

Any advice welcome, TIA

I used Yumove Dog Digestive Care for my dog: Advanced Dog Digestive Care Solutions | UK's Trusted Range | YuMOVE It seemed to work well for his digestive issues, but I've no idea if they would help with itchy skin. They do also do a skincare range and are very helpful, so it might be worth contacting them.

I’m not an expert but our whippet gets itchy during the grass season so I give her half an Apoquel tablet daily from March until October. This does work as, without it, she was scratching like mad and within a few hours of the first tablet the scratching stopped. Cheaper to buy a prescription from your vet and buy them online BUT get your vet’s opinion first. Hope things improve.
