Well I think we can really say that Emilie has now settled in England.

She is a born thief (w00t)

She chews anything she can get hold of especially if it is not hers :- "

She has chewed the edge of the lamp table :(

When she free runs she uses the Iggies as skittles.

When she free runs she has no brakes so she just runs straight in to me (I have the bruises to prove it)

Today she stole and ate my Bluetooth head set for my mobile which cost £79.99

Flaming Priceless

I havent found most of it yet including the battery so when she has a poo later she may well light up or take a call I dont know which. Ive heard of talking to a horses arse but not a whippets :D

(w00t) Oh dear! Maybe she was a Labrador in a previous life  My Labs used to be like that :- " It made my Whippets look like angels in comparison

It must be those Italians :teehee: - they're leading her astray!!! :- "

Naughty Emily!!! (w00t) (w00t) (w00t)

That is one positive I can say about the Iggies they dont chew and never have

Now I didn't know that :) I've been looking round the cottage thinking of all the possible bits & pieces that my future Iggie would be chewing, like my new wood kitchen cabinet doors for instance

Bless..she sounds like she has indeed made herself at home. :- " :))

Aren't whippet youngsters just the worst chewers? I taped tiles to the corners of low tables and chests to prevent the chewing on corners when Fred was young.

My Miniature schnauzer never chewed either ..he just dig up our carpets ...which was fine 'cos they were old and needed replacing..much better than leaving whippety teeth marks everywhere.

Sounds like Emilie is a fun loving whippet..... :)

Yes, what is it about Whippets? My Great Danes and Borzois also never chewed up anything, so when i got my first Whippet i was not ready and she has totally devasted my place in no time at all. She shredded my brand new, never worn italian shoes i paid a small fortune for, she managed to rip them to such a small pieces I could not work out what it was until I discovered the box was empty. (w00t) Then there was my favourite oriental rug, bedspred, table legs and so on and on.

Nowadays, my house is Whippet proved everytime I have a puppy, everything is locked away, or 6ft high, bookshelves are enclosed in puppy pen and the floors are bare. :)

Bradley ate Graham's a few weeks ago!! That was his fault though as he left it where he was sitting.

Ha!!! don't mention Danes to me!!!!!!!!!!! Ours when she was a pup chewed everything available and even some that were'nt! We came home one day to the lino in the kitchen all ripped & chewed up into little pieces, which would've been bad enough but then because she could'nt get at the bit that the fridge sat on she trailed the fridge out into the middle of the floor on it's little piece of lino and ate round it! We had no lino for a while because did'nt see the point of replacing it for her to chew again so next time we had to go out we foolishly thought "well there is nothing left for her to chew" :- how wrong were we,this time the fridge door handle got it and it was metal!!!!! So we decided to put her in the utility room there definitely was nothing there she could chew, well no there was'nt so that is why she decided to chew a Great Dane sized hole in the door and walk out!!!! She did eventually grow out of this trait but notbefore she ate a sofa, several coffee tables the staircase spindles and numerous bean bags and by the way when I say ate I mean literally ate (w00t)

She did have company before those of you out there say she was bored and she was only left for short periods of time, but hey where would you be without them! I love the whippets for the reason that they dont chew (well mine dont anyway) :D

Lily says yummy, being new they will look much better if she came to "customise" them for you! (w00t)

These stories remeinded me of the info. I was handed on my first day at puppy training -(seems like a life time ago .......oh dear. It was!!)

The first rule of puppy training is to roll up a newspaper and secure with cellotape.

When your puppy, pees, poos eats your shoes destroys furniture etc. etc.

You pick up the newspaper and bring it down sharply - on your head - repeating ..I must remeber to let my puppy out more often, I must remember to put things out of reach.....

Don't ya just love em :teehee: (w00t) :teehee:

Had to laugh at that Jools!  Oliver was a little g*t for chewing and nothing was safe. He'd even take books out of the bookshelf to "read"! You had to shut things away in cupboards because if he could climb and reach it he would - and he refused to be crated! AND he had company! He is the golden boy now. o:)

Albie was much better and I could leave things on the computer table without him climbing up to get them. He has eaten several remote controls, shoes, sofa/chair cushions though!

(I know how he does the cushion thing by the way. He does the whippet digging with his paws to get everything just right and then: look how it tears; must explore that; what's this underneath?; oh look it's foam; hey this is fun to play with!! Why has mum gone purple and can't speak? o:) )

Logan is much better again o:) apart from copying big brother Albie in everything! (w00t) At least he understands the word "no" and doesn't look at me as if nothing's wrong - ALBIE!!

Little    !

Shes flaming done it again
