Hi,

Im looking for some information about dogs that chase their own tails. Im doing some research into what problems are associated with tail chasing in dogs. (from physio/hydro prospective) Does anyone have a dog that chases its own tail and had any problems associated with it? If so please help and let me know what you have found. Thanks

From my perspective my dog chases her tail when she has a blocked anal gland. However, I appreciate that this isn't what you asked! lol

I did know of a dog who was rescued who spent all day every day locked in a kitchen with no windows etc. He developed mental issues from it and as a result would chase his tail as a way of stopping him being bored.

It took a lot of therapy to get him a bit better but would still do it when he was nervous etc.
