Well I haven't been to Astley for 3 weeks now, last time I could only take the pups because Buffy had knocked a toe up. Planned on bringing her the following Wednesday but whilst I was out with her, she startled a rabbit in a field close to local cemetary. She chased rabbit in to cemetary and a lot of the graves are subsiding or the headstones are broken. I'm legging it after her with her nowhere to be seen. She finally returns seriously cut up, both pads on her hocks were ripped clean off, given her damaged toe a good crack and had a big slash on her shoulder! So yet another night at Astley had to be abandoned. I've bathed her and bandaged her and all was healing well until tonight when her hock pad has again split whilst playing frisbee in the garden! They seem to keep splitting and I don't know what to do. I bought some wax that is for their pads and I've just put that on tonight but I'm worried this is going to keep on happening. (when it splits she also starts limping) Has anyone got any ideas? This dog was extremely fat and I have been working hard to get her fit. She absolutely adores going to Astley on a Wednesday and I love watching all the dogs race. Thanks in advance!

Wondered where you'd been :D

Poor buffster, got no advice though, only i'd keep her on the lead next time you think of coming :D

Thanks! My internet has also been down so I haven't been able to see what was going on, on here. I've just read about the charity event and I'm gutted I wasn't there! Vicky, I would also like to give a donation, I'll bring it with me next time I come.

Wow!! Fallen Angel and Lacey!! I am sooo chuffed for you, God I wish I'd been there to see your face!!! I hope you've got the bug and are out walking that dog!! The only time Buffy runs up the stairs is to go to bed!!! But hey if it works for Lacey then I'm gonna give it a go!!

Congratulations to everyone and I hope to see you soon, I might come along tomorrow with the pups and give them a taster. Not too sure though as they found it all a little daunting the other week!!
