Im driving myself mad with choosing what food our pup should have. She’s currently on Step Up to Naturals but she’s not a huge fan of the dry stuff and can be picky with their tinned food. She is a Lhasa apso X Bichon and 3 mths old. Any advice would be welcome.

If you go on the website allaboutdogfood you can view most brands of dog food to see how nutritious the food actually is. It is run by a canine nutritionist and they get marks out of 5. My puppy is 8 months and is on AVA medium puppy, which they sell at Pets at Home. Think it's got a score of 4.2 or something. My dog isn't a massive fan of dry food on it's own so he has a topper of raw mince or tuna etc. And he wolfs it down, especially with tuna. You can also use a topper of puppy wet food, but some brands of this can give my dog a runny belly. He looks really well on AVA. Has a shiny coat and is a good weight.

Step up to naturals is hardly a good quality food for a puppy, or any dog come to that. It only has 24.5% chicken "meal" and the remainder is full of cheap fillers.
My last puppy that I purchased was on a dry kibble and I changed her over to a raw diet in 2 days.
Pets at Home have freezers with a good selection of meats and complete nuggets.
With raw feeding you don't have to worry about puppy or adult mixes, it is all the same.
Raw is so natural for a canine animal and easy to digest, it is the best!
However there are also a lot of good quality dry kibbles on the market without any grains or cheap fillers, Millies Wolfheart, Eden, Orijen, Acana, to name just a few. There is a good website that I am sure someone will mention all about dog food (I have forgotten what it is called), it may help you decide. Sorry the website is already mentioned in the post above!

We switched Harri to Butternut Box at 3 months. I’m not a big fan of heavily processed foods but I do occasionally feed Canagan if I need the convenience
