Hi
Iam new to the forum and hoping to learn lots! Our westie is 9 months old and is my first dog . She is normally fit and well. On Wednesday she stared with a bad tummy, just diarrhea at first then some vomiting this carried on throughout Thursday so on Friday we starved her and she saw a vet, who confirmed all was OK prob just a viral thing and will pass. Gave her anti sickness and some probiotic to help.
As hoped the sickness did stop and so did the diarrhea, we fed her small amounts of fish and rice (chicken isn't great for her anyway). Today (Sunday) I decided to introduce some of her food back into her diet as her poo had been better. She had a small amount with some rice this morning and seemed fine so I gave her a normal dinner. Tonight after dinner more diarrhea!
So my question is did I feed her normal food to quick? Or is she just not over the viral thing completely? Can anyone advise how we manage this and transitioning back to her normal food? Just wanna get it right for her before breakfast tomorrow.
Thanks in advance for any help!
