Hi Guys

Before I shoot off to the vets just wanted a run something by you, as it maybe quite "normal"

We have just rescued Harrison, who although advertised as a whippet cross, i think is going to be the biggest whippet in history LOL :D

Anyway, from day 1 ( about 6weeks old ) he what I can only describe as a crackle in his nose when he sniffed. Now, 3 months old, he occasionally gets enormous "snuffles" and seems to have trouble breating, its almost like an asthma attack ! It happens when he's been running ( but not all the time ) and sometimes when he first wakes up, and sometime for no reason at all ?????

Its very hard to explain and unless I can get some video footage on my phone am not really sure how to describe it to a vet.

Do you think this is just his nasal passages developing etc or could there be something more serious.

Thanks

sounds like kennel cough but if the mucus becomes infected it could turn into phnemonia , best pop him to the vets to be on the safe side :luck: :luck: :luck:

as you can see it doesn't bother him day to day...just a worrying mum !!!IMG_2774.jpg

awww.... he looks well sweet!

well when Rooney was a pup he had something similar he sounded like he had a snotty nose and to describe the noise as thou he was breathing throu water???

we took him to vets, nothing found, he was fine. he continued to do this, never caused any probs.

but not sure if it is the same thing. Good luck

thanks guys..you describe it similar..its just like he s breathing under water and can t get his breath. my hubby seems to remember something similar with our last dog when he was a pup and the vet saying it was something to do with suckling as pup etc etc

Wow he is gorgeous

He nearly dissapears on that bean bag doesnt he!!

He has a deerhound look about him could be a very big boy!!!!

Be on the safe side try and get it on your phone to show the vet when you go
