Pye is certainly living up to his name and is “Nice as Pye” in every way. He is a wonderful young dog with amazing potential; handsome too!

Pye is dog friendly, cat friendly and great with people! Pye is in foster with another lurcher, cats and rabbits and has been fabulous with all. Pye could be rehomed with or without another dog but does need human company for most of the day. He has met children of varying ages and has been excellent; however he is a big lad with long legs and can be clumsy so maybe not a great with small children from this point of view.

Pye has shown no possessive behaviour and is happy to be touched all over and is perfecting the lurcher counter surf! He is quick to learn and so willing to please and already understands sit, down, come, over, off, in, out and has excellent recall. He is excited on a lead and can pull a little but with some positive consistent training he is getting there.

Pye is still a puppy and while happy to settle when his fosterer has to go out he hasn’t been left for longer than 3 hours and we would want to find Pye a home where someone is around for most of the day. He is housetrained and travels well in the car.

In summary Pye is looking for somewhere where he does not have to be left for more than three hours, and where they would appreciate he is a puppy and needs supervision, chews and toys and lots of interaction, particularly if he is to be an only dog.

All Hope Rescue dogs are neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and microchipped prior to rehoming. A homecheck will be required, and you will need to come and meet the dog with your own dogs and family. Hope Rescue rehomes throughout the UK. A Pre-Home Interest Form can be downloaded from www.hoperescue.org.uk and should be returned to dogs@hoperescue.org.uk

Is Pye still available for adoption?

Thanks,

tam
