took the whippets out last night as normal got to about 5 mins from the end of walk when ninny and ruby spotted a cat in a garden to my left and they started to bark i was trying to pull them away when from nowhere a black and white tom cat jumped on lacey from my right ,lacey yelped i thaught i had stood on her paw, i turned to see this psyco cat coming forward towards ruby and ninny who were trying to get at the cat to kill it, the cat did not back off but came at the whippets .

i have never seen a cat go towards 4 dogs before (it must have been on a suicide mission ........or was completly stupid )it did not back down i tried to give it a kick to send it on its way it went for me i could not believe it, this mad cat did not back off at all, in fact as we were going away it started to try and chase the dogs.

when i got back lacey had war wounds she has a scratch on the side of her mouth and a bite on her nose we gave her a good clean out with salt water and anti-biotic cream it looked ok this morning if there is any sign of infection we will take her to the vets i think i will take lula and boris with me tonight

sounds like a nasty experience the lil bugger eh!!

thats terrible, i hope her poor nose is better soon. u should try to give the vets bill to the owner, although i bet the cat owner would just laugh about it!

Cat's dont have owner's according to the law.My next door neighbour has over 50 of them, and quite a few are full of kitten's at the minute. But if i found myself in you're situation, with the head cases i have,i dont think the cat would be on time for his next meal.Sorry but i have grown to hate the brute's over the past year or so.For obvious reason's.They drive the pup's nut's most night's,and who get's the blame. As i say, cat's dont supposidly have owner's.

I hope Lacey is ok :huggles:

I've had this happen to me, i posted about it HERE

Also had a mad cat try to get at my friend's (now gone) greyhound. The husband of another friend we were visiting had taken pippa for a walk and the cat lay in wait to ambush them! Husband had to have stitches and a tetanus shot after he dog hid behind his legs and cat connected with his leg (w00t)

Hope your baby is soon OK and maybe gets her own back sometime

BTW - how is Fallenangel (Wendy) - don't seem to have seen her on here for ages and I miss her!! :(
