Is it possible when removing posts from a topic for the moderators to pm all the offending posts as well as their reasons for removing the posts? I think it makes a great deal of difference to your understanding of the situation, especially if the posts removed haven't been read by the person being PM'd because they weren't on the computer. Just wondering if it was possible?

Thanks, chris

There's little point in making posts invisible if you're going to pm them. Moderators should pm the poster to let them know why their posts have been removed but this information is private.

Thanks for answering Tony, I appreciate it. I understand the reason for taking the posts off K9 but IMO I think if posts have been made about an individual then they have the right to know what was posted. Especially if there is a time delay in removal and other posters see the post rather than the individual involved. ( I'm not complaining about time delays, I understand the logistics of it.)Like I said, it allows individuals a greater understanding, and perhaps less of a misunderstanding about the reasons for removal.

Chris.

I'm not at all sure members have a right to know what has been posted by other members after it's been removed.

It might be better if you posted this on the Help forum or better still perhaps take this up with Admin directly.

While I appreciate you might want answers to these questions I don't think it's a non ped whippet topic and as such I'm going to close this thread and I would be grateful if you didn't open any similar topics on this forum.

Admin or other mods will still be able to reply here as they see fit.
