Hmm don't know, Meeka reminds me very much of her dad Hellbound (smaller of course) his legs look like they have been shaved up to a certain point as the missing fur seems to stop in almost a dead straight line, Meeka's looks a bit like this. Maybe it's hereditory in certain colours or with certain genes.

Moany Moany as you know is a severe baldy at times, well at the minute being in pup her chest, lower leg and bum hair is growing back nicely, but it is really pale, almost fawn  .

I always thought it was just more noticeable on black dogs. Cara (fawn) has bald back legs and Jude (Parti / Fawn) had bald legs and stomach. Got to say i don't like it

Me either, prefer to see dogs with fur all over, just gotten used to it with all of ours, Kerri is a baldie bum, so are Talz and Cur. Blaze can be a baldie back legs, bum, hips, ribcage, chest and half her shoulders at times :x :x :x , last time she came in season she almost went bald completely as her fur started to fall out.

I hate it.. ive tried so much to get Boo's back it looks horrible haha Ive even not rubbed her for month's and still no hair...

susie (pretty mad) is bald on her back and some of her stomach legs (shes brindle) and lexi has slightly bald back legs

One one of ours is a little bald around the bum area rapid stag...but last year 9 weeks out of break she lost hair from her head too...i put that down to hormones

the other 8 all have lovely complete coats...and i run down and groom them most days ...we have some house dogs and some kennel

Sadie - Grass Skincure works every time - just the smell that puts you off 10 days on and then bath them lol ok i know 10 days of the smell is hard to do but it will work  Trust me i'm your mum :)

Or put her in pup to get it to grow ... are you ready Rip :- "

One problem Elise Boo hasn't had a season yet, maybe sometime soon as she is

2 1/2 now lol

Mum i used that and it didnt work all that smell for no reason... :(

And she has to come into season first elise lol if shes owt like her half sister i'll be waiting till shes 4 lol

She is being kind and waiting until Rips leg is better. :- "

Beau, my blue, has always had a bald chest since we got him a 13 months. Diesel, silver brindle, and Albus, white, are fully covered with fur.

I also would love to know why this happens.

I just thought it was Black and Blue's that looked bald because

they were so dark. And to be honest it had put me of getting

that colour until i realised it could be any colour, when i had Al

here he had a bald chest, i used to worry he would get sunburn.

He was a white/Fawn Parti.

When i first got Tig his back legs were double coated like cotton wool which i loved lol but then when he started racing he lost this and most of the rest of the fur on his back legs, gradually through retirement this has come back still not as fluffy as i would like tho lol But his belly has always been completely bald and soft, always seems strange to me when i pick up a dog with fur on its belly lol

I think it has alot to do with how they finish as well as tig used to slide in on his bum, and i know you say that boo does the same so probably just friction at the finish!

She is bootiful regardless hahaha

Don't let it put you off getting a black or blue. Beau is one of the best dogs I have ever had. I would have another blue like a shot. :)

Get a good sheepdip wash, and within a month or so,the hair should all be back where its supposed to be.Not only that, but if any of youre dogs have one of those unsightly scaley tails, then u just might see that clear up too.
