iv been walking the dogs for 2 weeks now and although they have seen no rabbits they have made many failed attempts to get seagulls and pigeons,

we dont have any permission yet, (why would we there only 14weeks,)

but my question is, if we are out and about in a public place and they are off the lead and theres a rabbit, if i dont have permission do i have to try stop them chasing it?

and what will happen if i cant and they catch it?

the reason i ask is that there are now major road works down the road so instead of a 5min trip to the beach its now 25min trip so we decided to take them up Arther Seat (big hill in the center of edinburgh) which seem to be crawling with rabbits. but its public/council property yet a popular dog walking spot?

i see everyone say oh you need permission so im just a bit worried of getting into trouble if and when they do see a rabbit they go for it???

At 14 weeks old they would have very little chance of catching a healthy rabbit but to cover yourself phone the local council & ask them where you would stand you never know if you offer them a FREE rabbit control service you might get permission.
