Can anyone tell me if Candy Man has been used as a racing name.

If it has, can it be used again.

Ta

I don't remember a Candy Man, but that's not to say there wasn't one. Judy will have a better idea

Even if there was one, if the dog has been out of racing for 3 years I think, or if the dog is no longer with us, or wasn't a Champion you can have the name.

The best person to ask is Joyce Keeble the WCRA registrar - if you ring her, you can book the name with her, and keep it until you're ready to get a passport.

If you haven't got her number let me know, and I'll PM it to you

There's not been a Candy Man as far as I know. A name can be re used as long as its been 16 years since it was last registered but not at all if the dog was a champion.

The future Candy Man is schooling very well and doing great times over 150yds ,,he will do his passes no bother, but in no hurry to race him as he's just a baby :huggles:

Tell them to spell Advocate correctly please - too many spelling mistakes running around as it is

Personally I'd make people sit 11+ English before letting them have ANY responsibilty for naming dogs - or even their own children for gawds sake! How many Sean's spelt Shawn are there out there - you know who you are! Not your fault I lnow, but go change it by deed poll :p

And another thing - people who can't pronounce fifth and sixth properly - seem to get jobs on radio and TV - what the hell is THAT all about?

Ok - I'm off for a lie down in a dark room now :teehee:

......................... You can add responsibilty and lnow to the list of spelling mistakes as well Ian. Perhaps some people require typing lessons. :- " :D

I misspelled my racing name on purpose as a play on words.....Magical Mistery. His pedigree name is Astrophel Antique Mist :- "

:D Ian, I do know the accepted spelling of Stripy but I don't like the way it looks. I have seen my spelling in teen mags though
