I have for some months, read with a great deal of interest, all the

different veiws and opinions on the racing whippet. I have now finally

summond up the courage to enter the 'forum'.so here goes.

Having recentley retired from the greyhounds,I purchased a pup from

CASINO x TONY'S GIFT with the intention of re-entering the whippet

racing world once again.

I have raced before, many years ago with the Liverpool w.r.c.

I was lucky enough to have a small amount of success.

reading the forum and as many whippet news as I can,I couldn't help

but notice the lack of pedigree information be it racing or stud.

It would be very interesting to see race and stud pedigrees i.e.

four generations, colour, date of birth, stud fee etc.what do you think? any opinions would be most welcome.

What dogs did you used to race at the Liverpool Club? My grandad used to race there and i went a couple of times as a kid before it folded.

Hi vicki,

I used to run a bitch called Stella,From an exellent

litter of five BIG BEN(18 lbs pedigree)xPENNY(greyhound).

Others in the litter were :Toffee Girl 30 lbs,Double Top 36lbs,

and GOOD TURN 30 lbs.All were top class on the greyhound

track (Poolstock Wigan) Good Turn when mated to George

Castle's RIGHT ROYAL produced SHE SINGS etc.

Stella who would chase when I got her at 12 months old, suddenly took off and won three handicaps on the trot.

She was Lancashire CH. 26 lbs and beat HE'S A DANDY in

the dog V's bitch. She was mated to BILKO sadly I don't

know what happened to these. She then returned to Preston and won the Lacashire CH. again,28 lbs. Another dog I raced

was R.CH. JOE'S GOLD which he won at Halifax with Joe Hughes. He was 30 lbs and a marvellous scr. dog. I have had others , but these are two that your grandad might remember.

Are you the same mick who came gin-pit with the greyhound?

I have soapy joe who is casino's brother, and hobgoblin who is casino's sister from the repeat mating of maddison x homebird. :D

Liverpool is'nt too far from our track, why not come down :p

Yes, the same mick with the greyhound. I'm waiting for her to break and then she's going to SPELLBOUND. I got the bitch,

because she was retired through injury.she went to MICKY MOUSE but didn't take and because she looked so well,I took

her for a spin around Ellesmere Port. After a sprint solo, a week later a four bend solo and then a week later again a two dog grading trial which she won in 28.65.graded in as Tight Spot.

a dog in an open race the following Saturday clocked 28.60 the same trial session as the bitch. Say hello to keith for me.

I will do my best to come up on Wednesday.

                                                           Mick.

Ahh i've heard a lot about this greyhound bitch from Keith i think i was in hospital when you came down, she should throw well to Spellbound and will probably bring the size down a bit compared to Mickey Mouse!

How old is your Pup?

Keith is just at our house now funnily enough - hopefully see you soon

Keith has just piped up to ask you to phone him as he has lost your number - 07811 420905 or 01942 793681

Hi :D , I think it would be a very good idea to put some stud/pedigrees on here as i shall soon be looking for dogs to mate my bitches, ie tiny toon (which is crazy cracker and xmas cracker) and also Rift (which is pearls boy and three songs). Looking forward to hear from u all come on dont be shy ;) ........Tricia

I would think there would be a lot of intrest for a pup out of tiny toon, when you look at the breeding and what was also in the litter.I also think we should have more pedigrees of dogs or bitches as its always of great intrest.
