im thinking of racing my whippet x greyhound when i get one in the future.can you lot help me on how to go about racing ,how to get started ,would i have to join a club.any info well appreciated.

nottingham,how much to join a club,is there much betting involved in racing whippet greyhounds.its not the money that im so bothered about but it will be nice togain abit back after all the hard work and petrol spent. also can i race my dog at chatsworth and other country fairs were there are lurcher racing events.

There is no betting on our races. You may win a little prize money if your dog win's it's heat or class but thats it. you never win what it costs you. Sure someone from your area will let you know what club is nearest. its not very much to join a club at the club I run it's £3 to £5. to join the N.N.W.R.F it's £20 membership for 1 year plus I think £5 to register your dog for life. The B.W.R.A is £8 single and £15 family for 1 year and once again i think £5 for your dog for life.

To join the B.W.R.A you must go through a club that has joined them but the N.N.W.R.F you just turn up on the day and regester. You must have your dog's inoculation form's to join both.

Hi, we come from Nottingham, there are a couple of clubs within the area, Manton, Old Hall, ashfordby, we are new to all this and have found everyone very helpful and friendly. Also theres a lurcher show at Highgate on 18th March with racing and showing. You'll find all the details and addresses in the non pedigree club section. If you want to know anything else just ask, everyones really friendly
